These terms govern your use of mcp-studio (the “tool”), published by Abdelraouf Sabri, trading as Abdelraouf Studios in Egypt. They are separate from the terms for this website. Using the tool means accepting them; if you do not, do not run it.
1. What the tool does
mcp-studio runs on your computer. It connects to your TikTok account with your permission, shows you a composer window containing your video, your caption and the posting options your account allows, and — once you have chosen an audience and pressed Post — uploads that video to TikTok on your behalf. It can also place a video in your TikTok drafts for you to finish in the app.
It is free, and it is offered as a tool rather than a service: there is no account to create, no subscription, no hosted component and no fee.
2. It is not TikTok
mcp-studio is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or in any way officially connected to TikTok, ByteDance or any of their subsidiaries. The names TikTok and ByteDance are used only to say truthfully which service the tool talks to.
Your TikTok account remains governed by TikTok’s own Terms of Service and policies. Nothing here overrides them, and if the two ever appear to conflict, TikTok’s terms govern your use of TikTok.
3. What you are responsible for
- The account. Connect only a TikTok account you own or are authorised to operate.
- The content. You must hold the rights to every video, caption, sound and image you post through the tool, and it must comply with TikTok’s Community Guidelines and with the law where you are.
- The disclosures. Where a video promotes a brand, product or service, you are the one who must say so using the disclosure controls the composer provides.
- Your machine. The tool stores TikTok tokens in a file in your home directory; keeping your computer and user account secure is your side of that arrangement.
4. What you may not do with it
You agree not to use the tool to:
- post content you do not have the rights to, or that infringes anyone else’s;
- remove or obscure watermarks, attribution or other creator protections — the tool does not do this, and you may not adapt it to;
- operate spam, bulk or automated posting campaigns, or otherwise abuse TikTok’s APIs or evade their rate limits;
- impersonate anyone, or post on an account without its owner’s permission;
- break TikTok’s terms, their Community Guidelines, or applicable law.
5. Data
What the tool holds, where it keeps it and how to delete it are set out in the mcp-studio privacy policy. In short: the tokens sit in a file on your machine, the video goes straight to TikTok, and there is no server in between.
6. Availability and change
The tool depends on TikTok’s APIs, which TikTok may change, restrict or withdraw at any time and without reference to this project. Features may stop working for that reason alone. The tool may itself be updated, restructured or discontinued; no continuity is promised.
One current limitation is worth stating plainly rather than leaving to be discovered: until the application passes TikTok’s Direct Post audit, TikTok refuses direct posts from it to a public account. Placing videos in your TikTok drafts is unaffected.
7. No warranty
The tool is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. It is not warranted to be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that any given post will succeed, appear, or reach anyone.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Abdelraouf Sabri is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for lost profits, lost audience, removed or misposted content, or action taken against your TikTok account, arising out of your use of the tool. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Ending it
You may stop at any time: delete the credential file and revoke the app in TikTok’s settings, as described in the privacy policy. Access may also be ended from this side, or by TikTok, if the tool is used in breach of these terms.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt. Questions, complaints and anything else reach the person who wrote the tool through the contact form.
