One sentence
VocalDrop is a free AI vocal isolator for macOS, Windows and Linux that lifts a studio-clean acapella out of any track, entirely on your own hardware — no upload, no account, no watermark.
One paragraph
VocalDrop separates vocals from instrumentals at studio quality, running locally on your own machine and using whatever GPU it finds: Metal on Apple Silicon, an automatic one-time CUDA setup on NVIDIA, DirectML on AMD and Intel graphics under Windows, and an optimized CPU engine everywhere else. Every run returns both stems, so it removes vocals as readily as it isolates them. Sources can be files, a dropped folder, or a pasted link from a thousand-odd sites, and it converts formats, strips silence and handles video in the same pass. Your audio never leaves the computer; the Python engine ships inside the installer and only the model downloads on first use — about 100 MB for Fast mode — after which it works with no connection. Free, with no watermarks, no track limits and no subscription.
Four ways into the story.
Separation that never uploads the track
The category runs on servers you post your audio to. VocalDrop runs its models on the machine in front of you — Metal on Apple silicon, CUDA on NVIDIA after an automatic one-time setup, DirectML on AMD and Intel graphics, and an optimized CPU engine when there is no GPU at all.
The voice is the point, the instrumental is free
The product is the acapella — a vocal clean enough to sample, remix or edit. The instrumental falls out of the same pass at no extra cost, so a karaoke bed is a side effect rather than a second purchase.
Free with nothing held back
No watermark, no track limit, no subscription and no account — a set of restrictions the free tier of this category almost always carries.
Downloads once, then works with no connection
The engine ships inside the installer; first use downloads just your model — about 100 MB in Fast mode. After that it is a desktop app that does not need the internet at all.
A link is an input, not a separate chore
Paste a URL and it fetches from YouTube, SoundCloud, Vimeo, TikTok and a thousand-odd other sites — with the real title, thumbnail, speed and ETA while it downloads — so the usual detour through a downloader disappears.

Press FAQ.
Can I use the screenshots, icon and copy?
Yes, freely and without asking — in articles, videos and social posts, for coverage of the studio or its products. The one request is that the icon is not recoloured, stretched or restyled.
Is anything here under embargo?
No. Everything on this page is public the moment you read it, so publish whenever suits your schedule. There is no date to hold to and no coverage expected in return.
Is the developer available for interviews?
Yes — written questions usually come back within a day, and calls can be arranged across European and Middle East time zones. The contact form reaches the person who wrote the software, not a press desk.
Something is missing or looks out of date. What then?
Ask through the contact form. If a fact on this page has moved, a screenshot is stale, or you need an asset at a size that is not published here, it can usually be supplied the same day.
